The purpose of the this FOD prevention course is to help prevent injury to personnel and/or prevent damage to critical hardware, experiments, systems, aircraft and facilities through proper classification of FOD areas, training of personnel and implementing appropriate FOD prevention and detection techniques.

The primary objectives of this FOD prevention training program is to increase awareness to the causes and effects of FOD, promote active involvement through specific processes & prevention techniques, and stress good work habits through work disciplines.
